Tarot School - Justice – XI.

Justice is one of the four virtues that include such elements as Temperance and Strength. Justice holds a sword in his right hand and a two beam scale in his left hand, because the intuition that is symbolised by the sword dominates over the intellectual decisions symbolised by the scales.

This is a type of wisdom that helps to analyse and consider circumstances and to remain critical regarding the possible outcomes. First the situation should be analysed and assessed and then followed by action.

Justice is dressed in red and that is the colour of desire and bravery. This red outfit is decorated with a green mantle and ribbon that represent the creativity which refers to the desire for the right sort of creative leadership. Justice gives us a moral lesson: when you act be kind whenever possible! Fairness and respectfulness can draw a picture of us as a cold and insensitive person. The sword helps us to leave our preconceptions behind and to analyse the situation and the challenge rationally. Justice is using the sword of truth to do the right action. Justice uses the sword of the truth to judge the right thing, as long as we are doing the right thing we do not have to be afraid. The scales project a possibility of a balanced perspective that suggests that we are able to make the right decisions. The covered legs indicate that he is able and willing to negotiate with us, because he believes that we are able to make an independent and wise decision and can keep our word.

This card suggests that there is only one way to reach fair and truthful solutions and that is if we are analysing and assessing rationally before making any decision. If we are able to assess the situation objectively and honestly and without putting the responsibility on someone else’s shoulders, then we will find the best solution. In this case you can have good relationship with others and with yourself. We should not be mislead by our emotions or preconceptions and make incorrect decisions. Being honest and right is difficult but not being honest and right is even more painful, as is living with this pain 24 hours, day after day.

This tarot card warns you to analyse any situation honestly and fairly before making any decision and acting. It is possible that you may get some wise advice that you shoul
