We can see only one person on The Last Judgement Tarot card who is waking up the dead. We have to be aware, and accept, that when we step in front of God at the hour of the last judgement we have to take responsibility for all our actions. This card lets us know that all of the decisions and actions that we have made in our lives will have positive or negative consequences, and therefore we can harvest the fruits of our actions and decisions or get a hard lesson for our sins.
In the end everybody will be judged by God’s law regarding their own actions. Therefore this card can mean receiving a prize or suffering a punishment depending on our past actions. Judge yourself and your own actions truthfully. We are not always the leaders of our own lives, but we shape our lives by our decisions, so we also have to take responsibility for our actions.
The naked bodies on the card represent, according to some interpretations, the Sacred Dead who are resurrected from their graves during the last judgment, in order to cry for justice and receive redress for crimes committed against them. The Archangel Gabriel is leading them -the army of light - against the forces of darkness.
The overall message of The Last Judgement card is: this is the time to review your life or your current situation and to get some clarity about the future direction of your life or your goals. You have a chance to start your life from scratch, but you have to make peace with the past, admit all the bad things from your past, and make peace with yourself concerning who you were in the past. After this point you must do only good things. If you start your new journey at peace with yourself, and the past, you will have a much happier and more meaningful life. The Last Judgement is the second last card in the Major Arcana, therefore you have to review your life so far and you also need to find answers to questions of life, death and eternity.
